Our award-winning chapter first came to South Carolina in 1958 and was rechartered on April 21, 2007. We are now a strong, tight-knit chapter of over one hundred brothers! Alpha Kappa Psi is open to students from all majors, and it is the premier developer of principled business leaders. The fraternity creates opportunities to learn new skills including leadership, organizational skills, time management, networking, social skills, and professionalism.

To foster professional development and hone business acumen, the Beta Upsilon chapter regularly attends and creates programs designed to enhance the undergraduate experience of its members and prepare them for the professional world that awaits following college.

From national programs such as the Alpha Kappa Psi National Convention and Principled Business Leadership Institute (Elevate), to local chapter events such as mock interviews and chapter speakers; our chapter is dedicated to providing opportunities that sharpen our understanding of what it means to be a leader in the professional world.

While professionalism is the underlying principle that serves as the foundation of our organization, our fraternity also relies heavily on the core values of service, brotherhood, integrity, unity, and knowledge in order to complete our goals. We do this through a variety of community outreach, philanthropic, and social events.

Our brothers participate in local Columbia area events such as St. Baldrick's, Ezekiel Ministries, Harvest Hope, and more. Plus, our organization goes further than professional ties. We truly become a tight-knit group of close friends through social events such as our Brooklyn Bridge Semi-Formal, Yellow Rose Formal, Mountain Weekends, intramural sports teams, and everything in between.
