Are you interested in economics? Do you like to discuss economic topics? Do you want to learn more about economics in an open, informal environment? Then, the Gamecock Economic Society (GES) is for you!

The Gamecock Economic Society is open to any interested full-time University of South Carolina student to discuss economic theory, contemporary economic issues, and other related subjects with like-minded peers, foremost in the form of Socratic discussion but also through peer-to-peer pedagogy, informal presentation, and joint literature review. The Society further serves to facilitate personal and professional connections between members, provide meaningful topic-related events, and bring in expert accounts from professors. This past semester, students have had a personal meeting with SC Congressman Tom Rice, led discussions and engaged in professor presentations.
