Trew Friends
About
Trew Friends is an organization which advocates for organ, eye and tissue donation. Trew Friends also seeks to inform, educate and encourage people to register as organ, eye and tissue donors to help save lives and increase the number of people on the national and state organ donor registries. Trew Friends is an extension of the Heather Trew Foundation, which was founded in memory of Heather Trew, a kidney recipient who passed away in 2007. It is an established club at many colleges and universities across the country. The organization is open to any student or faculty member of USC/USC's graduate schools communities who would like to participate in raising awareness for organ donation. We also have an annual Donor Duel with Clemson alongside the Red Cross’ Blood Battle. We hope to do more outreach to the USC community and to the greater Columbia area this semester. If you’re interested in spreading the word about end-of-life organ donation and are passionate about saving lives, come visit us at one of our tabling events on Greene St!
