Society of Pre-Health Professionals in Genetics
About
The Society of Pre-Health Professionals in Genetics (SPHPG) is an organization of undergraduate and graduate students who share a common interest in genetics and healthcare. It was founded in 2017 by genetic counseling graduate students at the University of South Carolina. We're passionate about promoting healthcare careers in genetics, and providing resources and support to individuals interested in pursuing these careers.
One of our main goals when starting SPHPG was to provide information about educational and volunteer opportunities in the genetics community. Our relationship with the genetic counseling program at the University of South Carolina provides a unique opportunity for club members to access information all in one place regarding attendance at genetics conferences and volunteer opportunities.
We want this organization to be a useful resource for individuals interested in pursuing careers in genetics. As such, we would love feedback about what we can do to help you prepare for a career in the field of genetics and genomics. Looking forward to hearing from you!
